    Dr. Maria Aschhoff College of Nursing

    St.Thomas hospital and Leprosy Centre, Chettupattu (Taluk) in Tiruvannamalai District is a Charitable Institution established in 1960 and run by St.Thomas Hospital & Leprosy Centre Society.

    The hospital was founded by Dr. Maria Aschhoff, Member of Medical Mission Sisters International, and Wurzburg, Germany who from her childhood wanted to go to papa New Guinea as a missionary, But later decided to come India  to do  leprosy work and to make an outstanding contribution to the control of disease in Tamilnadu. 

    Dr.Maria Aschhoff College of Nursing is established in the Year 2024. It is run by St.Thomas Hospital & Leprosy Centre Society, registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with an aim to provide quality health care nursing education and prepare nurses with the highest level of education and practice.

    The College is situated at St.Thomas Hospital & Leprosy Centre Campus in an area of 90 acres, an eco-friendly environment.

    Vision of the DR.Maria Aschhoff College of nursing is to probate socially meaningful health care nursing education and research with adherence to moral legal and ethical value of the individual and other settings.

    Mission

    Prepare the nursing students to combat current nursing challenges and demands of the society. Develop leadership skills and group dynamics among nursing students for holistic patient care.
